Keith Urban arrives in Australia solo, sparking speculation about why Nicole Kidman is absent as he prepares for a major honor at the Tamworth Country Music Festival
Keith Urban arrived in Australia on Friday ahead of a major milestone at the Tamworth Country Music Festival. The 57-year-old made the trip alone, without his wife Nicole Kidman, and was spotted carrying his own bags as he walked through the airport.
Dressed comfortably for the flight, he wore black track pants and a navy shirt with a gold design on the sleeve. White sneakers and dark sunglasses completed his relaxed look as he exited the terminal with a black backpack and duffle bag in hand.
His visit is centered around his induction into the Roll of Renown Hall of Fame during the 53rd Toyota Golden Guitar Awards on Saturday, a prestigious honor that celebrates his incredible contributions to country music.
Festival manager Barry Harley spoke about Urban’s impact, saying in an interview with The Daily Telegraph that Keith Urban represents everything the Tamworth Country Music Festival is about. He called Urban’s career a testament to passion, perseverance, and talent.
In addition to his Hall of Fame induction, Keith will also receive the Golden Guitar award for the top-selling Australian country album of the year for his latest record, High.
The award comes as Keith prepares for his highly anticipated High and Alive tour across Australia in August 2025. It will be his first tour in the country since December 2022 and will support his latest album.
The nine-show arena tour will feature rising country singer Chase Matthew as the opening act and begins on Wednesday, August 13, at the Newcastle Entertainment Centre.
The tour will continue with two performances at Brisbane Entertainment Centre on August 15 and 16 before heading to Wollongong for a show at the WIN Entertainment Centre on August 20.
Sydney fans will get two nights at Qudos Bank Arena on August 22 and 23. In Melbourne, he will perform at Rod Laver Arena on August 25 and 26 before concluding the tour in Adelaide on August 28 at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre.
His recent public appearances, including attending the Golden Globes with Nicole earlier this month, have only increased the excitement for his return to the stage. Fans across Australia are eagerly anticipating the opportunity to see Keith perform live once again.
