Breaking;Chiefs Punishment Predicted After Super Bowl LIX Blowout…see more
The Kansas City Chiefs are about to undergo changes, as was going to be the case even without their blowout loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX.
In the wake of the 40-22 loss, Kansas City QB Patrick Mahomes is bemoaning the mistakes he made, vowing to fix those while essentially “guaranteeing” a championship return.

And defensive back Trent McDuffie? He may be reaching for his wallet, hoping not too much back there is about to undergo change.
McDuffie was whistled for an unnecessary roughness penalty in the game due to his instigation of a collision with Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert.
Depending on one’s perspective, it seems the tight end went airborne to make a catch at which point he was hit in the helmet by McDuffie.
And “unnecessary roughness” was the call on the field, which of course resulted in a 15-yard penalty that benefited the Eagles.
How is it going to hurt McDuffie?
As always in the NFL, the league takes a few days to review such calls and then hands out financial fines to the offending players.
And it is being predicted that McDuffie may be facing a fine in addition to the flag, as again, the league reviews personal foul calls after the game.
The same process took place, you will recall, after the AFC Championship Game. … and after the NFC Championship Game. In total, between the Chiefs, the Buffalo Bills and the Eagles and the Washington Commanders, five players were fined for unnecessary roughness.
It is relatively small potatoes to most players financially, but after absorbing a loss? Yes, McDuffie and the Chiefs are probably bracing for one more kick in the teeth here.
