As the Sean “Diddy” Combs trial continues, revealing horror after horror that the rapper is responsible for, more and more celebrities are being placed at-or at the very least nearby-the scene of the crimes. Jennifer Lopez, 55, famously dated Diddy back in 2000, but they broke up after a year. Now, interviews from the months after their breakup are resurfacing online, and fans are calling for the actress to testify against Diddy. Keep reading for more information.

Resurfaced Interview Of JLo Talking About Diddy Goes Viral
Sean Combs, also known as “Diddy,” is on trial after pleading not guilting to sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion, racketeering conspiracy, and transportation to engage in prostitution. His ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura has recently taken the stand to testify against him, and now fans are calling for another one of his exes to do the same.

Jennifer Lopez was interviewed back in 2002, about a year after her breakup from Diddy, and Dianne Sawyer asked her if she was “afraid” during her relationship with the rapper, who famously hosted “freak offs” throughout the early 2000s.

“And what about Sean Combs, Puffy, P Diddy, the man who courted controversy if not outright danger?” Sawyer began. “He always seemed to be in control. We wondered, looking at the girl on the red carpet, who was she?” she asked, referring to Lopez. “Was she afraid?”

Lopez, who looked down, avoiding making eye contact, and started rubbing her chin, replied, “Um, no, I don’t think she was afraid, I just think that I, at the time was uh, cared deeply for Sean, and you know we just… didn’t have the same kind of ideals about life and family and stuff like that. It just wasn’t a good relationship for me.”

Later on in the interview, she added, “I had to learn to care about myself a little bit more and put up certain boundaries of what I would accept and wouldn’t accept because really he was just being himself.” Fans read between the lines here and assumed that it wasn’t all sunshine and roses for the year they were together, and are now calling for her to share what really happened during that year she was by his side.

Fans Call For JLo To Testify
Clips of the interview have been reposted online, drawing significant attention now that Diddy is on trial. In the comment section of one post containing the video on Instagram, fans begged JLo to stand up for her past self. “She ran in time, it makes me happy,” one person wrote. “She’s not guilty of anything; she just ran and protected herself because no one else would do it for her.”

“She ran for her life from him once she realized who he really is,” another agreed.

“She needs to testify,” a third stated.

“She found out what a wacko he was and ran,” another added.

“Good for her,” a final fan posted. “Glad she got out. I hope she speaks up and testifies against him.”
