Travis Kelce could have a big future in Hollywood after making his acting debut in Ryan Murphy’s ‘Grotesquerie’ horror series, according to co-star Niecy Nash.
The Kansas City Chiefs superstar landed a role in Murphy’s new show alongside the likes of Nash, Courtney B. Vance, Lesley Manville and more, with the pilot episode set to air next Wednesday at 10pm ET on FX.
And ahead of next week’s premiere, Nash has explained why Kelce will enjoy plenty of further success in the acting business after being left ‘pleasantly surprised’ by his talent.
‘I think that he’s gonna do very, very well,’ the award-winning actress told TMZ Sports about Travis’ Hollywood future.
‘I mean, he’s the type of personality that whatever he decides to do is gonna be great.’

Nash was also asked if she will be making an appearance alongside Kelce’s girlfriend Taylor Swift at a Chiefs game this season, as she laughed before saying: ‘We’ll see.’
While his character in the series is yet to be revealed, Kelce provided the intro for the official Grotesquerie trailer earlier this month before appearing twice in the teaser.
In his lone line in the trailer, the NFL tight end’s character monotonously says: ‘There’s no future after this.’ He then reappears near the trailer’s conclusion for a split second.
Kelce’s involvement in the series first surfaced in May, shortly after he signed a two-year, $35.24million extension with the Chiefs.
During the show’s production, Nash teased his acting debut by revealing she was on set with him in a video on Instagram.
‘Guys, guess who I am working with on Grotesquerie?’ the 54-year-old said before panning over and revealing Kelce.

‘Jumping into new territory with Niecy!’ he responded.
The three-time Super Bowl winner has long expressed interest in working in TV and film once his NFL days are behind him. With an SNL hosting appearance, reality TV stints and several commercials to his name, Kelce is no stranger to the camera.
While his biggest acting gig so far is yet to premiere, he has already secured his next big role after Adam Sandler revealed he will star in the Happy Gilmore sequel.
Kelce is poised to enjoy a cameo role in the sequel to the hit 1996 golf movie, having previously thrown his name in the hat to play any part possible in it.
