Travis Kelce: Jersey Shore incident shows Kylie Kelce’s ‘don’t f–k with me’ toughness
Travis Kelce has seen that Kylie Kelce before.
The Chiefs star talked about how close he is with his sister-in-law and cited her interaction with a belligerent woman at the Jersey Shore as an example of her toughness.
“Getting to know Kylie and her family and everything throughout the years has just been awesome because she even has that toughness of ‘don’t f–k with me,’” Travis said on the “Bussin with the Boys” podcast, which is hosted by former NFL players Will Compton and Taylor Lewan, in an episode released Tuesday morning.
“And you saw that in that video of them just trying to have date night with their friends over at the shore where it’s a big family environment, everybody’s having a good time, every single day out there at the shore, and this lady just comes in trying to be entitled and telling Jason and Kylie you have to take a picture with my kid, you’re doing it now.”
The video showed the woman screaming at Kylie and Travis’ brother, Jason, while claiming that “she’ll never be allowed in this town again.”
Kylie received plenty of praise for how she handled the woman, who was later identified as Andree Goldberg — a local shop owner.
Goldberg apologized for her actions and described it as a “heated” moment.
“As an adult and proud member of my community, I should have recognized and respected their right to privacy from the onset,” she said in a statement, according to PhillyMag. “I am deeply appreciative of the grace and understanding shown to me by the Kelces and wish them nothing but the best.”
Neither Kylie nor Jason, who can be seen in the background of the video, have commented on the incident.
Jason retired in March after 13 seasons with the Eagles that will one day land him in the Hall of Fame. He joined ESPN as an analyst and will be part of the network’s “Monday Night Football” coverage.
