Travis Kelce collects third Super Bowl ring with Chiefs’ dynasty but brother Jason has very different story
Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes flashed their new sparkling hardware for the world to see. The Kansas City Chiefs superstars fully embraced the team’s dynasty, showing off stunning world championship rings that honored a tough 25-22 victory over the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LVIII in Las Vegas.
While the Chiefs are still a few months away from beginning the real work for a historic NFL three-peat, they received their latest Super Bowl rings and clearly enjoyed the moment. “Big me,” Mahomes tweeted, while showing off three huge Super Bowl rings. “THREE RING KINGS,” tweeted the Chiefs’ official account, as Kelce and Mahomes smiled together and displayed six total rings in one powerful image.
While Travis is on top of the world, dating Taylor Swift and running around the globe, his older brother Jason has a very different ring story. Jason lost his last Super Bowl to Travis in 2023, as Kansas City pulled out a gritty 38-35 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles that brought the Kelces to tears with their mom, Donna, watching.
When Jason did win the big game in 2018 with the Eagles thanks to Nick Foles and the Philly Special, the older Kelce brother somehow managed to lose his ring — twice. Jason was seen searching for the lost Super Bowl LII ring in the Amazon documentary, ‘Kelce’, but initially didn’t have much success finding it. He eventually managed to recover it, thanks to his wife, Kylie.
She found the lost ring in the glove compartment of one of their Tesla cars. But that wasn’t the end of it, as Jason lost the ring for a second time. He only realized it had been misplaced again after documentary-makers asked him if he had it, so they could film him with it. The ring was then misplaced for a third time in April, during a special live recording of the brothers’ popular New Heights podcast at their former school, the University of Cincinnati.
