Prince Harry’s return date to the UK has been revealed – and it’s sooner than you might think.
Prince Harry wil be making a return to the UK on September 30 for the annual WellChild awards in London.
In his role as patron for the charity, which supports seriously ill children and their families, Harry’s attendance has been confirmed.
He is a regular at their annual awards ceremony, and made an appearance last year.
During this year’s appearance, the Duke of Sussex will present one of the inspirational winners with their awards and also deliver a speech. He said: “I am once again honoured to attend this year’s WellChild Awards celebrating the remarkable courage and achievements of children living with complex medical needs.
“These incredible young people, along with the dedicated caregivers, nurses, and professionals who tirelessly support them, inspire us all. It is a true privilege to recognise such extraordinary individuals.”
Harry’s return date comes just days after the Royal Family publicly sent him birthday wishes on social media. The Duke, who now resides in the US, celebrated his 40th birthday on September 15. He is said to have spent his actual birthday with Meghan Markle and their children at home in Montecito.
The Duke has, however, planned to visit a retreat in California with some of his close friends – some of whom could be flying in from the UK.
Sources have suggested that King Charles is keen on having a better relationship with his son – leading to much speculation over whether Harry will visit his father whilst in the UK later this month.
Speaking to the Mirror, a source said: “Much has been said over the fractured nature of the Duke’s relationship with his family and much of his own doing. He is open to reconciliation as is the King. The King’s health, his upcoming autumn tour to Australia and the next chapter of his reign are his main focus, but there is always room to improve relations with his son.”
