Fans reckon they’ve stumbled onto confirmation of golfer Rory McIlroy’s rumored affair with CBS reporter Amanda Balionis.
Claims of McIlroy having an extra-marital relationship with Balionis began to swirl after he filed for divorce from his wife, Erica Stoll, last month after seven years of marriage.

Images published by TMZ this week have sparked added speculation as they show the 35-year-old hugging and having what appeared to be a friendly chat with the reporter after playing in the Canadian Open at Hamilton Golf & Country Club in Ontario.

McIlroy finished the tournament with a fourth-place tie at under-13 par, with Robert MacIntyre winning with a 16-under par.
It appears the two care little about the rumors. They both had jobs to do, in any case.

The Daily Mail first reported that Rory McIlroy and Amanda Balionis were the “talk of the links” in late May. US Weekly pushed back against that report, claiming the two “only have a professional relationship.”

Balionis married former NFL quarterback Bryn Renner in 2022 and set tongues wagging after being spotted without her wedding ring in February.

McIlroy, on the other hand, filed for divorce in Florida last month, noting his marriage to Erica Stoll was “irretrievably broken.” The share a three-year-old daughter named Poppy, whom they’re seeking split custody for.

The golfer’s camp said he would not comment further after the news broke. The press also was asked not to broach questions on McIlroy’s personal life before the tournament.
