A royal insider has made shocking new allegations about Meghan Markle and claimed the Duchess of Sussex has “alienated” many of her former friends.

A Sussex insider has claimed Meghan Markle has “alienated” many of her close friends days after the Duchess of Sussex almost came face to face with a bitter former confidante.

Markle, 43, stunned on the red carpet at the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles Gala on Saturday night while holding hands with her current “best friend” Kelly McKee Zajfen.

Days later it emerged the Duchess narrowly avoided a run in with her former friend Lizzie Cundy at the event several years after cutting off the British socialite.

Cundy met the future Duchess of Sussex when Meghan first travelled to the United Kingdom but claims she was “ghosted” after the Suits actress became engaged to Prince Harry in 2017.

“Once the ring was on the finger, I soon realised she was off Twitter and that her number wasn’t working and that was it,” Cundy told Grazia in 2021.

“I’m afraid both Piers Morgan and I got ghosted.”

On Tuesday, royal author Ingrid Seward claimed the Duchess of Sussex “cut dead” a number of other friends.

“I think that Meghan has managed to alienate a lot of her former friends,” she told The Sun newspaper.

“She actually sort of just cuts them dead and ghosts them, as it’s called.”

Cundy is one of several known names no longer on speaking terms with the Duchess of Sussex, a list that also includes Victoria Beckham, Canadian socialite Jessica Mulroney and Meghan’s childhood best friend Ninaki Priddy.

Markle allegedly fell out with Beckham after accusing the former Spice Girl of leaking stories about the Sussexes to the press, an allegation that reportedly infuriated David and Victoria.

Meghan also mercilessly iced out Ms Mulroney from her inner circle after the fashion designer was caught up in an embarrassing racism allegation during the 2020 Black Lives Matter protests.

Meghan struck up a fast friendship with the prominent Canadian socialite while living in Toronto as a working actress on the series Suits in 2011.

Jessica initially remained friends with Meghan after she met Prince Harry and the Duchess even included Ms Mulroney’s three children in her royal wedding in 2018.

However, the friendship hit the rocks just two years later after influencer Sasha Exeter publicly accused Ms Mulroney of using “white privilege” to silence a person of colour over a disagreement.

Out of the former friends, only Ms Priddy is understood to have been the one to end the friendship after “disapproving” of how Meghan treated her first husband Trevor Engelson.

Ms Priddy later told a British tabloid that “(Meghan) was always fascinated by the royal family” before she met Harry and “wanted to be Diana”
