The Princess of Wales has shared a beautiful home video while she gives an update on her health, and she is the epitome of relaxed style in her denim midi dress and trainers

Kate Middleton has finally shared an update on her health struggles after being diagnosed with cancer earlier this year. In a touching and heartfelt video of her, Prince Willam and their three children, Kate looked stunning as she explored forests and coastlines with her family wearing an effortlessly chic denim midi dress and trainers.

The dress Kate wears is suspected to be the Light Denim Petite Tie Waist Denim Shirt Dress from Roman, and fans of her look will be pleased to know you don’t need a Royal budget to get your hands on it. The dress is currently on sale for £35, down from £40, and is perfect for transitioning into autumn.

The Roman dress was the perfect choice for the video, mirroring its relaxed, carefree feel as Kate was seen lying on a blanket with William in the sand and playing games with her children during a picnic. It’s made from a soft, breathable denim material and has an effortless look thanks to its loose fit and knee-length skirt.

Despite its relaxed fit, the denim midi dress is still figure-flattering with a subtle fit and flare shape and an elasticated tie waist which can be left untied or fastened to cinch in your waist if desired. It also has a classic shirt-style design, with a collared neckline, button-up front and two patch pockets on the front.

Kate styled her denim dress with a pair of her favourite white and gold Veja Esplar trainers for a summery look, however the dress can just as easily be worn with some knee-high boots and a cosy jacket as we head into autumn. Sizes in the dress have already started selling out, with only a 14, 16 and 18 still in stock on the Roman website, however we did manage to find some great alternatives if you’ve missed out on your size.

Marks and Spencer is known for its great quality denim, and its dresses are no exception. The Pure Cotton Denim Midi Waisted Dress, £39.50, is perfect for getting a similar look to Kate’s with a slightly more autumn-ready style. It features long balloon style sleeves and a midi-length hemline, but keeps the relaxed casual look with a loose fitting body and patch pockets on the front. It also comes in petite, regular and tall lengths.

Alternatively, this Denim Mini Shirt Dress, £75 from Monsoon, keeps the slightly shorter hemline of Kate’s, but swaps the short sleeves for long ones and comes in a darker denim that’s ideal for the autumn season. It still has the same fit and flare shape, patch pockets and collared neckline too, but works great with tights and chunky boots when the weather turns.
