Prince William’s devastating text to Prince Harry that left him at a loss over next steps.

Prince William sent a devastating text message to Prince Harry after he and wife Meghan Markle’s interview with Oprah Winfrey aired.

In the final scenes of Harry and Meghan’s Netflix docu-series, cameras captured the fallout of their tell-all interview in March 2021, in which the Duke and Duchess of Sussex made a series of allegations about other senior members of the Royal Family. The couple alleged a member of the monarchy had made a racist remark about their unborn son, and Harry discussed in detail his fractured relationship with his father, King Charles, and big brother William.

At the time, it was reported the future king, 41, was “furious” with his younger brother, and in the last episode of the Harry & Meghan docu-series, the prince can be seen looking shell shocked as he received an unexpected message from William. According to MailOnline, William was concerned by the allegations made by Harry during the interview.

In the heartbreaking scene, Meghan can be seen sat at the table reading out a statement released by Buckingham Palace in response to the allegations they made during their Oprah interview. “While some recollections may vary, they are taken very seriously and will be addressed by the family privately. Harry, Meghan and Archie will always be much-loved family members,” Meghan reads out, while Harry looks nervously at his phone while chewing his finger.

The camera then cuts to Harry standing next to Meghan as he shows her his phone. “What am I looking at?” she asks, while reading what is on the screen. The Duke of Sussex looks solemn as his wife raises her eyebrows at the message he’s received, and looking gobsmacked, she simply says: “Wow.”

Harry is sniffing while Meghan starts talking to close pal Tyler Perry on speakerphone, hinting that the prince might have been crying over the contents of the message. “H just got a text. H just got a text from his brother,” she says urgently. Harry looks exasperated and puts his hands on his head as Meghan ends her phone call abruptly and stands up to give him a hug. “I wish I knew what to do,” he sighs, looking visibly stressed.

The TV and Movie Queen, real name Andrew DeVitre, discussed the details of the mysterious text message in a video on TikTok, and suggested that the message from William could’ve been about Meghan. He referenced an article about Robert Hardman’s new book King Charles III: The Inside Story, in which the author claimed Harry once upset his big brother by criticising his decision to marry Kate Middleton. Andrew also hinted that the message William sent to Harry in the final scenes of their Netflix docu-series could have been a bitter comment directed at Meghan.

Meanwhile, others have suggested the message may have had something to do with their late mother, Princess Diana, or William could have effectively sent a text that ended his relationship with his brother. However, one royal fan joked in the comments on the video that Harry may have been dealt the ultimate blow by his brother. “Harry has been removed from the family group chat,” they quipped.
