Prince William gives touching update on Princess Kate and George, Charlotte and Louis
Prince William gave a sweet update on his wife Princess Kate and their three children on his final day in Cape Town.
The Prince of Wales, 42, visited Africa for a four-day trip to celebrate the Earthshot Prize 2024.
During an impromptu walkabout, William spent time meeting dozens of people and even admitted that he had the most “amazing” few days.
He told the crowd: “I love Cape Town, I’ve had the most amazing week here, I’ve really enjoyed it. I don’t want to go! My children would love to be here, so would Catherine.”
During the walkabout, the future King was also handed some gifts for his family back in Windsor, with Kate having stayed at home with the couple’s children Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6.
On Wednesday, The Prince of Wales, who has been wearing a friendship bracelet made for him by his daughter, spoke to the BBC and Sky News ahead of his fourth annual Earthshot Awards.
He said how he hoped the children were watching the awards at home and were “proud of what we are trying to do here”.
William also said his wife had been “amazing” this year following her scary cancer diagnosis.
When he was asked about the princess’ health, he said: “She’s doing really well thanks. And hopefully she is watching tonight. Cheering me on. She’s been amazing this whole this whole year. I know she will be really keen to see tonight be a success.”
The mention of his family came just before angry protestors turned up at the harbour walkabout demanding the prince “go home”
