Prince Harry admitted in his tell-all memoir, Spare, to have made a major error at the start of his relationship with Meghan Markle.
Meghan was a major TV star years before she met the Duke of Sussex, becoming a fan favourite on the legal drama Suits in which she starred from 2011 to 2018. The now-Duchess of Sussex played Rachel Zane, the love interest of college dropout-turned hot shot lawyer Mike Ross.
In his book, Harry said that, early in his relationship with the actress, he fell into the trap of Googling steamy romance scenes from her acting career.
Writing in his bombshell book, the Duke ruefully said he would need “electric-shock therapy” after “watching some of her scenes online”.
“I’d witnessed her and a castmate mauling each other in some sort of office or conference room,” he said, adding: “I didn’t need to see such things live.”
Meghan made a name for herself starring in the legal Drama suits from 2011 to 2018.
The Prince also revealed his older brother Prince William and Princess Kate were avid fans of the USA Network show and were delighted to learn he was dating her.
“I was baffled, until Willy and Kate explained that they were regular — nay, religious — viewers of Suits,” he explained.
Harry said that, up until that point, he’d been worried that his brother and sister-in-law “might not welcome Meg into the family, but now I had to worry about them hounding her for an autograph”.
The Prince and Meghan met in 2016 and married two years later. Ahead of their huge fairytale wedding at St George’s Chapel on the grounds of Windsor Castle, Meghan decided to step away from her acting and also closed her social media sites as well as lifestyle blog, called The Tig.

In her first worldwide interview following Harry’s engagement proposal, Meghan was asked by BBC interviewer Mishal Husain how she felt about leaving the acting world, and said: “I just see it as a change”.
When asked how she saw her new role as the Duchess of Sussex she added: “I don’t see it as giving anything up, I just see it as a change. It’s a new challenge.”
“And also keep in mind I have been working on my show for seven years,” she concluded.
Harry and Meghan relocated to California, where they’re raising their two children Archie and Lilibet, after stepping down as senior royals in January 2020.
