Prince George’s cute nickname for Kate spotted by lip-reading expert
The Queen was joined by senior members of the Royal Family on the balcony at Buckingham Palace as they watched the Platinum Jubilee flypast and met the excited crowd
Prince George has a cute nickname for his mum Kate, as revealed by a lip reading expert.
George was overheard using a pet name for Kate during their carriage ride to the Horse Guards Parade during the Platinum Jubilee in 2022. He was spotted calling his mum the adorable nickname by lip-reading expert Jeremy Freeman when he turns to speak to Kate. The then-eight-year-old, dapper in a suit and tie, waved to the crowd before he turned to his mum, affectionately calling her “momma”.
Then his younger brother, Louis, was seen being “slapped down” by sister Charlotte, who appeared to tell him to stop waving. While the parents have family names for their children, too. George has a particularly unusual moniker – inspired by a British brand of tea bags. Once his friends started abbreviating Prince George to ‘PG’, William and Kate apparently took the next logical step and dubbed him Tips.
