NFLcelebrity:Travis Kelce, Taylor Swift Engagement Plan Revealed Before Super Bowl
Super Bowl LIX between the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles is set to kick off in just four days.
While the game will be the primary focus of most fans around the country, there will be plenty interested in a potential moment between Chiefs star tight end Travis Kelce and girlfriend Taylor Swift. An engagement between the two has been rumored for nearly as long as they’ve been dating, but the Super Bowl has pointed a major spotlight on the potential for the couple to take the next step.
According to a new report, though, fans might not want to hold their breath for a post-Super Bowl engagement.

A source told the Daily Mail that Kelce doesn’t plan on a “public spectacle” as the setting for his engagement with Swift, preferring a more private setting with just the two of them.
“Travis is going to have to go above and beyond but it won’t be a public spectacle,” the source said. “They are both aware of the fact that the whole world is so thirsty for them to be engaged and, while Taylor does want a white wedding one day, her friends just feel like people need to chill and let them be a couple.”
As for when the engagement might come, the source indicated the couple isn’t in a hurry to take their relationship to the next stage.
“When the time comes, people will know about it. But they are going to keep some things private and will have elaborate plans in place to ensure secrecy,” the source told the Daily Mail. “They are not worried about those close to them leaking info because people who know them respect this.”
Sending a final message on the fact that this won’t be a public engagement, the source made it clear the proposal will be for Swift – and Swift only.
“When and if Travis does make this happen it will be for Taylor and for Taylor only,” they said.
Super Bowl LIX between the Chiefs and Eagles kicks off at 6:30 p.m. EST on Sunday night.
