NFLCELEBRITY NEWS!!! Donald Trump invites Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes to White House despite losing Super Bowl… CHECK MORE 👇 👇
Donald Trump has invited Travis Kelce, Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs to celebrate their Super Bowl LIV win. That is despite being on the losing side of the most recent Super Bowl against the Philadelphia Eagles.
The Chiefs were victorious over the San Francisco 49ers on Feb. 2, 2020, with the game being played at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami. However, just a month later, the coronavirus pandemic affected the world, causing Kelce, Mahomes and the rest of the championship-winning team to miss out on their opportunity to meet the president.
Some five years later, and after receiving an answer from the Eagles this year, Trump is attempting to rectify a moment that the Chiefs were never able to experience because of the pandemic. Speaking to OutKick founder Clay Travis while the two were in Air Force One, the 78-year-old explained what sports fans could expect in the coming months.
“I look forward to having the [Philadelphia Eagles],” Trump said to Travis as the two spoke on Air Force One. “And one other thing, we’re going to have the Kansas City Chiefs after that because they missed their turn because of COVID.”
Trump’s comments come months after he watched the Chiefs get blown out by the Eagles during Super Bowl LIX. Kansas City came into the game with hopes of winning their straight championship, a feat that had never been accomplished in NFL history.
However, Philadelphia came out of the gates prepared for the challenge, decimating the game plan head coach Andy Reid had against the Eagles. Though the final score read 40-22, the game was anything but close, with the Eagles taking full advantage of the Chiefs from the moment the whistle blew.

For Trump to invite Kelce, who is dating Taylor Swift who, in turn, endorsed Kamala Harris, shows that the two are not letting politics get in the way. Before Super Bowl LIX, the star tight end was asked how he felt about Trump being in attendance to watch the Big Game and Kelce spoke positively about Trump.
“That’s awesome. It’s a great honor,” Kelce told reporters at the time. “I think, you know, no matter who the president is, I know I’m excited because it’s the biggest game of my life. And having the president there, you know, it’s the best country in the world. So, that’d be pretty cool.”
And while meeting a polarizing political figure like Trump would dissuade some from going to the White House, like some NBA teams did after winning the NBA Finals, Kelce believes that the opportunity to meet with the president is one that is simply too good to pass up, regardless of who is in office.
“Anytime I get a chance to be recognized by the President of the United States and get to go with my teammates and a group of men and women that I had success with to the point we get acknowledged … I’m doing it every time no matter who’s up there at the helm,” Kelce said during an episode of the ‘New Heights’ show.
“No matter what’s going on in this world, it’s just such a cool opportunity.” There is no confirmed date of when the Chiefs will be invited to the White House as of yet.
