Meghan Markle has recently shared a few rare pictures and videos of her two children – with one very specific reason behind her decision.

Meghan Markle has made the recent decision to share various rare clips and pictures of Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet – with a very specific reason thought to be behind her decision.

The Duke, 40, and Duchess of Sussex, 43, are known to be extremely protective over their children – having made the decision to keep them out of the spotlight.

However, since Meghan launched her new Instagram account on New Year’s Day, the proud mum-of-two has shared various clips and pictures of Archie, five, and Lilibet, three, via her account.

An adorable picture of Meghan and Lilibet, who was born after the couple moved to the US in June 2021, is also featured on the website for her new brand, asever.com.

Meghan, who has been married to Harry since 2018, also shared clips of her making strawberry-covered bagels for Valentine’s Day – with the clips showing both Lilibet and Archie.

Speaking to the Mirror, royal correspondent Jennie Bond explained what she thought was behind the change in tack. She said: “They are clearly fiercely protective of their children. And I think much of that stems from Harry’s experience of having cameras trained on him when he was a little boy – and ever since.

“He showed his contempt for the cameras when he was very young, sticking his tongue out, as he sat in the back of a car with his mother. She told him to stop it very quickly!

“Of course, seeing only glimpses of them makes them even more interesting to the public. And it brings extra attention to whichever video they appear in, which is commercially valuable.”

She added: “Sooner or later, they are bound to release pictures of the children.
