Meghan Markle Reportedly ‘Deeply Regrets’ Her Comments About Royal Racism
It’s been more than three years since Meghan Markle and Prince Harry sat down to talk to Oprah Winfrey in what would turn out to be one of the most explosive interviews in royal history – and now, it seems like one of the people involved might be having second thoughts. One royal expert claims that Meghan “deeply regrets” accusing her royal in-laws of racism, but at this point, the cat is out of the bag.
If this intel is true, is there any chance it could help end the feud between her, Harry, and the royals?

Meghan and Harry famously accused an unnamed member of the family of racism during the interview.

While talking to Oprah, Meghan said that in the time leading up to the arrival of her first child, Archie, there were “concerns and conversations about how dark his skin might be when he was born.”
She and Harry refused to name names at the time, and their identities have never been confirmed.
Now, it seems that Meghan may be wishing she had never said anything.
According to what royal expert Angela Levin said during a recent appearance on GB News, Meghan reportedly wishes she could take back what she said.
“She deeply regrets how she behaved towards the royals, and she’s very sorry about saying that they were racist,” Levin said, via Geo, adding that since then, “everybody’s learned that it was nonsense.”
The comments were reportedly difficult for Queen Elizabeth to hear, which adds to Meghan’s regret.

“I think the Queen, when she had heard that, it was very painful for her. Because the one thing the Queen wasn’t was racist, in any way or any form,” Levin continued, after describing the situation as “very, very cruel” towards Elizabeth.

Meghan and Harry have always maintained that they were never trying to make accusations of racism.
It’s worth noting that Harry himself has pointed out that he and Meghan never used the word “racism” to describe that situation. Instead, as he said in an interview with ITV in 2023, he considered it proof of an “unconscious bias” in the royal family.
“Once it’s been acknowledged or pointed out to you as an individual, otherwise an institution, that you have unconscious bias, you, therefore, have an opportunity to learn and grow from that … otherwise, unconscious bias then moves into the category of racism,” Harry said.
This isn’t the only report claiming that Meghan is having regrets.

At the end of August, royal expert Kinsey Schofield told Fox News that Meghan “does regret certain statements that she made.”
“They weren’t received in the way that she had expected and several of her comments have backfired,” Schofield said. “She and Prince Harry deeply regret the royal racist controversy. Meghan wanted the takeaway from their Oprah interview to be about her mental health.”
