The British Royal Family had a call for celebration on September 9 as Kate Middleton confirmed she has completed her chemotherapy course against cancer, as King Charles III gave an emotional display of support just months after he fought the disease too.
Middleton, Princess of Wales, had received her diagnosis shortly after abdominal surgery in London in January before confirming it to the world and begging for privacy after outlandish conspiracy theories began to fly around.

Since then, updates have been sporadic but have generally indicated she has been responding well until the 42-year-old confirmed she is past the chemotherapy phase and can begin to look forwards to getting her life back in an emotional video with her husband and their children.
It’s something the King, who also fought cancer in 2024, and his Queen-Consort Camilla, described as “wonderful news” as they continue to support their daughter-in-law and her family, which includes Charles’ two heir-apparents.

The montage of clips of the young family included them walking through nature and Prince Louis being pushed on a swing by his healthy and strong mother, whilst Prince George and Princess Charlotte joined their brother by running up to the camera.
They also were spotted playing cars, whilst Prince William and his wife were also seen laughing on a blanket by the seaside as they shared an emotional kiss together.
“As the summer comes to an end, I cannot tell you what a relief it is to have finally completed my chemotherapy treatment,” Middleton said in the video. “The last nine months have been incredibly tough for us as a family.
“Life as you know it can change in an instant, and we have had to find a way to navigate the stormy waters and road unknown.
“The cancer journey is complex, scary and unpredictable for everyone, especially those closest to you. With humility, it also brings you face to face with your own vulnerabilities in a way you have never considered before, and with that, a new perspective on everything,” she continued.
“This time has above all reminded William and me to reflect and be grateful for the simple yet important things in life, which so many of us often take for granted. Of simply loving and being loved.”
