Jennifer Garner reveals her holiday plans with the three children she shares with ex Ben Affleck
Garner, who shares Violet, 18, Fin, 15, and Samuel, 12, with ex-husband Ben Affleck, told People she’ll be taking her kids to see The Nutcracker.
The 52-year-old called the play a ‘huge’ Christmas tradition for her and the kids.
We’ll definitely go see The Nutcracker, because that is a huge part of Christmas for me and for my kids — thank goodness I’ve drilled it into them — and just being together with family,’ she said.
And the children also contribute their own ‘specialty’ dishes for Thanksgiving.
‘I have one kid who specializes in mashed potatoes, that’s their specialty, I have one kid who is all about making an apple pie, that’s their specialty, and then I have one who goodness only knows what she will make,’ she said.
On Saturday, Jennifer gave fans a glimpse into her post-Thanksgiving activities as she detailed a recipe for ‘Leftover Cranberry Sauce Muffins’ on her Instagram.
She was also seen enjoying the Thanksgiving weekend over coffee on Sunday. The actress was spotted enjoying a cup of Joe with a pal in Los Angeles.
Meanwhile, Jennifer recently made an apparent dig at her past marriage to Ben as she dished out marital advice.
The actress was wed to Affleck from 2005-2018 and Scott Foley from 2000-2004 and weighed in on what she had learned from the unions on the Lipstick on the Rim podcast released November 12.
Asked for her ‘favorite quote or mantra’ she used a line from her mom Pat Garner, saying: ‘Never expect a man — don’t marry a man thinking you can change him.’
She added the sayings ‘all come from Mrs. Ingalls from ‘Little House on the Prairie’ or ‘Anne of Green Gables’ or all of the above.’
The 13 Going On 30 star also revealed two of her other favorite sayings are: ‘Weeping may last through the night, but joy comes in the morning’ and ‘Happiness is your own responsibility.’
