Sean Diddy Combs doesn’t have the highest opinion right now from the public after his recent scandals. But his family has stood by his side. So much so that recently one of his sons has started to publicly vouch for his dad using social media.

It’s been more than a difficult time for the Diddy family. Diddy’s seven kids have had to deal with the possibility of their father potentially spending a good chunk of his life behind bars. Lately, it seems the majority of the public feels the music mogul deserves the time for his alleged transgressions. However, Diddy’s family have openly defended him vigorously. His mother, Janice Combs, released a press statement supporting her son. She expressed disappointment in Diddy for the crimes he’s known to commit, such as his abuse of Cassie Ventura. But she asserted that didn’t mean the Bad Boys CEO was guilty of other heinous crimes.
“It is important to recognize that none of us, regardless of our status, are immune to fear or mistakes,” Janice wrote on social media according to CNN. “Not being entirely straightforward about one issue does not mean my son is guilty of the repulsive allegations and the grave charges leveled against him.”
His kids have also taken to social media to voice their support. One of Diddy’s sons, Quincy Brown, posted a statement on Instagram sharing his and his siblings’ feelings towards their father’s controversy.
“The past month has devastated our family. Many have judged both him and us based on accusations, conspiracy theories, and false narratives that have spiraled into absurdity on social media,” they wrote according to Masslive. “We stand united, supporting you every step of the way. We hold onto the truth, knowing it will prevail, and nothing will break the strength of our family. WE MISS YOU & LOVE YOU DAD.”
Now, Diddy’s other son, Christian, has taken their support a bit further. Recently, Christian took over Diddy’s own Instagram. He uses the platform to promote the positive contributions his father’s made in both the entertainment industry and in people’s lives. It might’ve also been a special birthday gift for his father, who turned 55 not too long ago.
“Right now, I’m taking over my pop’s Instagram,” Combs posted according to Vibe. “We gon’ be posting videos, spreading good energy, and taking ya’ll down memory lane of all the positive things he did. So, stay tuned and watch this, let’s go!”
Christian Combs once opened up about the advantages and disadvantages of being Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ son
Christian tried following in his father’s footsteps as an artist. The rapper goes by King Combs as his stage name, with a music style that was inspired by a few artists his father’s worked with. Christian especially considered his father’s protege, Biggie Smalls, a major influence on his sound.
“I would say the biggest influence was actually Biggie,” he once told Billboard. “When I’m in the studio, I would try to just do a song like them, but I would still do my own thing on it. Like I gotta make sure that I’m gonna be able to hold my own on any track. And Biggie to me is the greatest of all-time.”
Of course, Christian considered his father a major influence, too. Being Diddy’s son afforded him the resources and connections to help his rap career. However, it also made it harder for Christian to succeed in the industry in some respects.
“I think the advantages of being Puff Daddy’s son is definitely getting advice and being able to learn the ropes and see how to do certain things and how not to do and just basically getting to see the success by just watching him and being a fly on the wall,” Christian explained. “And I think the disadvantage is probably the people like you said doubting me or thinking we don’t work as hard as they do or them thinking people probably write for me or make my beats. It’s really nobody. It’s me and [my group] CYN. So that’s one of the hard things, the disadvantages to me.”
At the time, however, he felt confident he’d be respected for his own ability, and not for being Diddy’s son.
“But they’ll know soon,” he promised.
