How Much Patrick Mahomes’ Father Is Getting Paid for Celebrity Fight

Patrick Mahomes Sr., the father of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, and John Rocker, a former MLB pitcher, made headlines during Super Bowl weekend when the two were spotted in a heated altercation.

“This [expletive] loser can’t take a damn joke. Wish I laid him out right there and ruined his [expletive] weekend even more,” Rocker said in a post about Mahomes Sr after video of the fight went viral.

In recent court documents revealed by TMZ, Mahomes Sr confessed the incident “was a staged altercation to get publicity for [a] celebrity boxing match that was set to take place in April 2025.”

Mahomes Sr., who was placed on probation last year after pleading guilty to his latest DWI charge, made the admission after he missed a mandatory urine test during Super Bowl weekend. In an attempt to explain his absence, the former pitcher admitted to the fight being staged – and later passed his test.

Now, as he gears up for a celebrity boxing match with Rocker as part of Barstool Sports’ Rough N’ Rowdy, TMZ revealed how much Mahomes Sr. is getting paid for the fight.

“Mahomes Sr.’s pay for the matchup, the contract states, will start at $85,000 … but could balloon well past that, depending on the event’s final Pay Per View numbers,” TMZ reported on Tuesday.

Rocker claims claimed Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes attempted to stop his father from being involved in the fight.

“Mahomes Jrs team had a TOTAL MELTDOWN when that video of me kindly trying to say hello to Pat Sr surfaced. They’re doing EVERYTHING in their power to try and pull Pat Sr out of this fight. THE REALITY IS HE WANTS TO FIGHT,” he said.

The fight will reportedly take place in April.
