How Kate Middleton’s Health Influences Prince William’s Reaction to Windsor Burglary

Amid Kate Middleton’s continued battle with fighting off cancer, Prince William is worried about any potential stressors that may affect her. The recent burglary at a farm near Windsor Castle—which is just five minutes away from where they live at Adelaide Cottage—had William nervous, not just for Middleton’s safety, but for how the significant event could impact her health.

“For Prince William and Catherine, this is of course horrific because at this time, when they are under immense stress due to her health concerns, this is the last thing they need,” British royal expert Hilary Fordwich told Fox News Digital.

News of the burglary was revealed on November 18, after occurring the month prior on October 13. While Adelaide Cottage—where William and Middleton reside with their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis—was left untouched, Shaw Farm on the Windsor Castle estate was targeted for farm equipment, and the intruders managed to leave the property undetected.

“Who on Earth could sleep well at night knowing this sort of violation of their safety has taken place?” Fordwich mused. “Supposedly, armed guards have been [previously] removed because they were viewed as unpleasant for the tourists and the public to see. Surely, tourists would be calm and happy to see the royal family protected by armed guards.”

Another royal expert, Neil Sean, further explained that “William and Catherine were in no danger whatsoever, but a source pointed out to me the situation could’ve had a far more sinister turn.” He explained that “the fact that [the burglars] got so far inside Windsor grounds was very alarming, particularly for William. Naturally, [he] is worried about any stress and concern about his wife, and of course, his father [King Charles].”
After news of the burglary made the rounds on November 18, Thames Valley Police, which is in charge of security in the Windsor Castle area, confirmed the event in a statement to People. “At around 11:45 p.m. on Sunday, October 13, we received a report of burglary at a property on Crown Estate land near to the A308 in Windsor. Offenders entered a farm building and made off with a black Isuzu pick-up and a red quad bike. They then made off towards the Old Windsor/Datchet area,” the statement read. “No arrests have been made at this stage and an investigation is ongoing.”
