Eagles Star Sends Blunt 6-Word Message to Travis Kelce Amid Taylor Swift Romance
On Sunday night the Kansas City Chiefs suffered an embarrassing defeat on the biggest stage in American sports.
A 40-22 blowout loss at the hands of the Philadelphia Eagles left star quarterback Patrick Mahomes and company licking their wounds – just like a blowout loss against Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Super Bowl LV.
“Both [losses] sucked,” Mahomes said. “There’s no way around it. Anytime you lose a Super Bowl, it is the worst feeling in the world. They’ll stick with you the rest of your career. These will be the two losses that will motivate me to be even better the rest of my career, because you only get so few of these and you have to capitalize on these and they hurt probably more than the wins feel good.”
Star tight end Travis Kelce was noticeably quiet during the contest, racking up just 39 yards on four receptions. After the game he received a harsh message from Eagles defensive back C.J. Gardner-Johnson.
“Should’ve stayed with that thick [expletive],” Gardner-Johnson said, potentially in reference to Kelce’s ex-girlfriend Kayla Nicole.
Gardner-Johnson’s message comes amid rumors of a potential engagement between the future Hall of Fame tight end and girlfriend Taylor Swift, who went viral during the game on Sunday night.
