Donald Trump has threatened Elon Musk with “very serious consequences” as their feud intensifies.

The President just delivered a five-word mic drop on his one-time tech bestie during a sit-down with the New York Post: “Nothing catches me by surprise.”

Once hand-in-hand on Trump’s campaign comeback trail, Musk even snagged a glossy cabinet title as head of the Department of Government Efficiency — DOGE.

Just as things were looking good for the pair, they had a very public falling out.

The friction sparked when Musk bashed Trump’s signature legislation — the so-called “Big Beautiful Bill” — which promises sweeping tax cuts and just cleared the House of Republicans.

Musk didn’t mince words, calling the bill an “abomination.” Trump, as expected, came out swinging.

“He knew the bill as well as anybody. The bill is great. It’s going to pass, but the bill is great, and it’s going [to] be great for everybody, including him,” Trump told the New York Post.

“And you see it now. And take a look at what happened today with the job numbers. They’re through the roof, and the stock market’s up already 600 points.”

Things even escalated to the point where Musk declared that Trump was named in the Jeffrey Epstein files… though that post on X has since been deleted.

Now, in a phone interview with NBC’s Kristen Welker, Trump didn’t hold back about where things stand with Musk.

Asked if the bromance was officially over, Trump responded: “I would assume so, yeah.”

“I’m too busy doing other things,” he added. “You know, I won an election in a landslide. I gave him [Musk] a lot of breaks, long before this happened, I gave him breaks in my first administration, and saved his life in my first administration, I have no intention of speaking to him.”

And now, Trump is even threatening Musk with what he called “serious consequences” if the SpaceX CEO throws cash at any future Democratic campaigns.

“If he does, he’ll have to pay the consequences for that,” Trump warned, without detailing what those consequences would be.

Given that Musk’s companies are major government contractors, that’s more than just political shade — it’s a direct threat.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt didn’t sugarcoat things either, telling CNN: “This is an unfortunate episode from Elon, who is unhappy with the One Big Beautiful Bill because it does not include the policies he wanted. The President is focused on passing this historic piece of legislation and making our country great again.”

On Fox News’ Hannity, she continued: “Just days ago, Elon thanked the president for his incredible leadership to cut waste and fraud in our government, which this one big beautiful bill does.”

She added: “The only difference between Friday and today is Elon went back to his companies and as a businessman, he has a right to speak for his companies, but as president, President Trump has a responsibility to fight for this country.”
