Jimmy Kimmel has doubled down on his Elon Musk cracks after the billionaire and government advisor labeled the talk show host an “unfunny j—“.

The late show host fired a series of jabs at Musk, after protests involving arson attacks hit Musk’s Tesla this week. At one botched protest attempt, a man accidentally set himself on fire while trying to torch an EV charging station, while a Tesla facility in Lag Vegas was lit on fire last week.

On the same day, a Tesla Cybertruck in Kansas City, Missouri, was targeted, causing another vehicle to catch fire. Authorities are investigating both incidents as potential arson cases.

On Wednesday’s show (March 19), Jimmy explained the demonstrations to Musk, who called protestors “deranged” in an interview with Fox News. “His sales are down, his stock is down. Last night, he was somber as he went through this with Sean Hannity,” Kimmel said.

He then played a clip of Musk’s Hannity interview, in which Musk said, “It turns out when you take away the money they’re receiving fraudulently, they get very upset.

“They basically want to kill me because I’m stopping their fraud, and they want to hurt Tesla because we’re stopping this terrible waste and corruption in the government, and I guess they’re bad people. Bad people will do bad things.”

Kimmel added, “Well, let me see if I can explain it for you. When you pull out a chainsaw to celebrate firing thousands of people, they get mad.”

He added, “My God. I mean, this poor guy. You do one, maybe two Nazi salutes, everybody gets all bent out of shape!” Responding on his social media platform X, Musk wrote, “What a j—,” of Kimmel, before adding another post minutes later saying, “He’s such an unfunny j—.”

On Thursday, Kimmel once again hit back, mocking the head of DOGE once more. “Tesla is not having a good week,” he began. “Today they issued a recall of nearly all 46,000 of their Cybertrucks. That’s the eighth Cybertruck recall since they came out in November of 2023. It’s 15 months – 8 recalls.”

“I mentioned last night multiple Teslas were burned at a Tesla facility in Las Vegas. Authorities are now investigating which Teslas were set on fire – and which set themselves on fire,” Kimmel added

He concluded, “And while no one should be setting anything on fire, ever, people are mad at Elon Musk for randomly and gleefully putting thousands of Americans out of work, including veterans. But the MAGA gang, which has been very against any kind of violent protest since January 7, was it? 2021? That’s when they started being against it – they are highly upset.”
