Celebs Go Dating’s Helen Flanagan spotted ‘looking cosy’ with ex-footballer despite featuring on show to find love

Coronation Street’s Helen Flanagan has been spotted getting cosy with a former footballer, despite trying to find love on E4’s Celebs Go Dating. The actress, who recently turned 34, was seen celebrating her birthday with Robbie Talbot, sparking rumours of a new romance.

Helen looked stunning in a strapless purple ruffled dress, paired with Hollywood-style curls for her birthday bash at Manchester’s five-star Hotel Gotham. Meanwhile, Robbie looked smart in a buttoned-up black shirt. According to The Sun, the pair arrived together and stayed overnight at the venue, although it’s unclear if they shared a room. Onlookers reported seeing Helen “beaming as she spent the evening alongside her new man.”
Reports suggest that Helen and Robbie were seen engaging in some PDA, with Robbie placing his arm around Helen. It’s believed that the pair have been dating since May, but Helen has reportedly tried to keep the relationship under wraps ahead of her appearance on E4’s Celebs Go Dating, which started on 19 August.
However, just a month into their alleged romance, Helen and Robbie were spotted at the Municipal Hotel and Spa in Liverpool, which happens to be Robbie’s hometown. A source close to the formerCoronation Street actress has spilled the beans on her new relationship, reports the Daily Star.

“Helen’s absolutely smitten, they look so good together. She deserves to be happy after everything she’s been through recently. She’s tried to keep things out of the public eye but that’s become difficult as their feelings have grown for each other. Helen made no secret of her new relationship at her party, but it is still early days,” The Sun reported.

Helen split from footballer Scott Sinclair – the father of her three children, Matilda, nine, Delilah, six, and three-year-old Charlie – in 2022, after a 13-year relationship. She later revealed that the painful break-up was so bad, it led to a psychotic breakdown.

But Helen always wears her heart on her sleeve and is ready for love again. In a recent exclusive chat with us, she said: “It would be nice to meet someone. I’m looking for someone to have a nice relationship with. I have realised what I look for in a man. I am a single mum and I work a lot.

“I have had times when I’ve felt hurt… since I’ve been single. I took time to work out what I want. What I look for is someone to be there for me emotionally. That is a big thing for me. And that’s why my expectations are quite high. I want someone to have a laugh with. I love funny men.”
