Travis Kelce is headed to the Super Bowl for the third year in a row, and while he’s picked up quite a few fans from Taylor Swift, he may have lost a few of them with his most recent comments about Donald Trump. In a press conference on Wednesday, Kelce was asked his feelings on Donald Trump attending the Super Bowl this upcoming Sunday. “That’s awesome,” he said. “It’s a great honor. I think, you know, no matter who the president is, I know I’m excited because it’s the biggest game of my life, you know, and having the president there—it’s the best country in the world—and that’s pretty cool.”

This comes after Donald Trump’s inappropriate comments about Taylor Swift, who Travis Kelce has been dating since 2023. “I was not a Taylor Swift fan,” Trump said in September. “It was just a question of time … She’s a very liberal person, she seems to always endorse a Democrat and she’ll probably pay a price for it in the marketplace.”

Fans Are ‘Disappointed’ With Travis Kelce
Taylor’s fans immediately took to social media to express their disappointment with Travis for not using the opportunity to renounce Donald Trump—or at least not say something positive about him. “travis deserves any backlash he gets for that trump answer idgaf,” one person posted to X, formerly known as Twitter.

“Travis used the term: ‘honor’ shows his political tone-deafness at best and apathy towards how Trump attacked Taylor at worst,” another added.

“This is such a disappointing answer!” another person agreed.

“A great honor?? Who is he kidding?” another asked. “He missed a chance to speak out for everyone being harmed by this administration.”
