President Donald Trump seemingly snubbed the handshake of White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt as he arrived for the NCAA wrestling final in Philidelphia on Saturday. In a video posted to X, Trump is seen arriving at the Wells Fargo Center where he was accompanied by several members of his administration.

In the video, Trump is also seen shaking hands with various officials such as Pennsylvania Sen. Dave McCormick and U.S. Rep. Jim Jordan. However, when the president gets to Leavitt, he seems to pass over her and moves on to the next person in line. Also accompanying the president is Elon Musk, who is the head of the Department of Government Efficiency, and White House chief of staff Susie Wiles.

Trump’s appearance at the men’s wrestling final is the first time that the U.S. president has returned to the state of brotherly love since winning it in the contentious 2024 presidential election. The video showed Trump arriving at the arena to the usual chants of “USA.” The man’s appearance comes after he reportedly spent the night at his hotel in New Jersey.

“We’re going to the big fight. The reason I’m going is in Philadelphia. They have the NCAA, world, wrestling for college. And I’ve always supported the wrestlers,” Trump told reporters as he left the White House on Friday evening. “I want to support them. These are the great college wrestlers from the various schools.”

The president’s appearance at the sporting event comes after many people noticed strange dark spots on the back of his hands. Fears for Trump’s health came as a strange dark mark was seen on his hand during a meeting with the Irish Taoiseach Micheál Martin.

The Friday conference was organized for Trump to reveal that Boeing will build the Air Force’s future fighter jet. But it was his hands that some viewers were focused on.

Many commented on the color of the president’s skin, noting how the darker hue of his face did not match his hands. “Is he using the cinnamon bronzer today?” one wrote, while another chimed in: “Apparently they forgot to spray paint his hands.” Trump is regularly criticized for the unusual color of his skin, often attributed to fake tan.

This comes after a mysterious dark mark was spotted on Trump’s hand during a meeting with Irish leader Micheál Martin. Cameras captured a dark mark that looked significantly unusual enough as to draw concern over the President’s welfare, particularly since a similar bruise was seen when Trump shook hands with French President Emmanuel Macron on February 24.

The White House team was quick to attribute the bruise to an occupational pitfall – the harsh handshake marathons that Trump routinely undertakes. Trump’s health has been under particular scrutiny after he became the oldest person ever inaugurated as leader of the most powerful country in the world.
