BREAKING:First lady confirms ‘fake Melania Trump’ theories are real with bizarre three-word message…
For years, conspiracy theories of a Melania Trump body double have spiralled, but now the first lady has confirmed for the first time that a fake version of herself does indeed exist – in the form of AI.
Following in the footsteps of her husband, who has faced mounting criticism for his slew of offensive AI videos, Melania stepped into the world of artificial intelligence on Wednesday as she shared an AI-generated version of herself on social media. Taking to X, the first lady re-posted a 10-second clip initially shared by an account promoting her official cryptocurrency meme coin.
In the video, a digital Melania could be seen suddenly materializing from a pixelated cloud into a room that looked like the interior of Trump Tower. The AI version of Melania, dressed in a long black coat dress and matching heels, steps forward and looks directly at the viewer.
As the clip zooms in on the fake Melania, she continues staring forward silently. The AI Melania could be seen doing one slow blink as her hair gently blew around her before the video ended.
“Into The Future,” the first lady mysteriously captioned the video. Melania has been plagued by rumors of the existence of a “Fake Melania” body double since Donald Trump’s first term in the White House.
The ‘Fake Melania’ theory gained traction in 2017 following an appearance on the White House lawn
The conspiracy initially cropped up in 2017 when the president was accused of replacing Melania with a body double or even a robot during a press conference on the White House lawn. Stephanie Grisham, Donald’s ex-communications director, dismissed the rumors at the time.
“Once again, we find ourselves consumed with a ridiculous non-story when we could be talking about the work the first lady is doing on behalf of children,” she told CNN. Former Secret Service agent Jonathan Wackrow clarified to the same outlet: “The United States Secret Service doesn’t use body doubles.”
Melania’s sunglasses at the FIFA Club World Cup sent body double theories spiralling
But the statements have done little to quell the conspiracy. Back in July, Melania sent theories of a “fake” first lady spiralling once again during appearances in Texas and at the FIFA Club World Cup final as she was spotted wearing several large pairs of sunglasses or a black baseball cap.
The “fake” Melania theories went into overdrive again during the president and first lady’s UK state visit last month, as online sleuths noted Melania’s large hat, which covered most of her face. One person speculated: “The fake Melania has to hide her face.” Another questioned: “Are they trying hide that it’s the fake Melania?”
Melania’s large hat during her UK state visit also sparked accusations of a body double
Melania’s latest X post has seen the first lady accused of being “self obsessed”. “Why do y’all have to do the weirdest s— known to man,” one person responded.
“The First Lady is reposting boomer-tier AI slop,” a second commented. “You people are so self obsessed. It is disturbing to watch,” a third wrote. Another pleaded: “I’m begging you to please stop.”
The post comes as the president is criticized for posting bizarre AI-generated videos mocking Democratic leaders to his Truth Social account. After failing to negotiate a deal to prevent a government shutdown, Trump posted a deepfake clip featuring Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries to his social media platform on Monday.
Melania appeared out of a pixelated cloud in the video
The video saw Jeffries wearing a fake sombrero and handlebar mustache. Mariachi music played int he background as a deepfake version of Schumer’s voice said “nobody likes Democrats anymore” because of “all of our woke trans bulls—”.
Jeffries called the video “disgusting” and told Trump “bigotry will get you nowhere.” But the president doubled down, sharing another AI-modified video showing a real interview clip of Jeffries before a sombrero and handlebar mustache were again edited onto the Democrat leader and an AI-generated mariachi band with Trump’s face appeared in the background.
Vice President JD Vance defended the videos on Wednesday. “I think it’s funny. The president’s joking and we’re having a good time,” he said during an appearance in the White House briefing room.
