Fans Are Noticing The “Invisible Strings” That Tie Travis Kelce To Taylor Swift, And It’s Honestly Kinda Wild.K
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are one of the top celebrity couples right now, and as a major Taylor Swift fan myself, I’ve been obsessed with all of their sweet moments together so far.
And one of my favorite Taylor Swift songs is “Invisible String” where she sings about a — you guessed it — invisible string, or clues, that seemingly tie two people together way before they ever met.
For instance, the lyrics “Bad was the blood of the song in the cab / On your first trip to LA” is most likely meant to describe how her partner was listening to her song “Bad Blood” on his first trip to LA, way before they even knew each other.
So I’ve also been obsessed with all the wiiiild coincidences fans have noticed between Travis and Taylor before they even became a couple. Like, it just makes sense they finally got together. Here’s the proof:
One of the most blatant coincidences is that the two were both born in 1989, which is also the name of Taylor’s fifth album.
In Taylor’s song “Mary’s Song,” she sings “When I’ll be 87 you’ll be 89 / I’ll still look at you like the stars that shine in the sky,” and there’s, of course, the connection that they’re both 1989 babies, but also Travis’s jersey number is 87.
3. Also, if you take Travis’s jersey number (87) and add Taylor’s lucky number (13), you get a perfect 100.
Taylor’s Eras Tour backup dancer Kameron Saunders is actually the brother of Khalen Saunders, who played alongside Travis on the Chiefs from 2019–2023.
Travis and Taylor have a mutual friend in Miles Teller, too. Miles and his wife Keleigh starred in Taylor’s “I Bet You Think About Me” music video. Meanwhile, Miles joined Travis and Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes for a golfing trip back in 2022.
Taylor Swift famously makes an archer gesture when she sings “The Archer” during the Eras Tour, and at the beginning of his games, Travis tends to do a similar archer movement as an homage to the Chiefs name and home Arrowhead Stadium.
