JUST IN!!! Donald Trump fans point out major issue as president is hit in the face with boom mic during viral interview…

A group of right-wing voters have made a vital point about an incident that occurred this weekend, which saw Donald Trump clocked in the face by a reporter’s boom mic.

The moment came just hours after Trump addressed the Department of Justice where – ironically – he slammed the media as having opposed him since he returned to the White House in January.

“These networks and these newspapers are really no different than the highly paid political operative,” the 78-year-old previously hit out. “And it has to stop. It has to be illegal. It is influencing judges and it is really changing law and that just cannot be illegal. I don’t believe it is legal.”

As we say, however, later that afternoon, as the Republican leader took media questions about the situation in the Middle East whilst preparing to leave Washington D.C., a reporter hit him in the face with a boom mic.

In response to the mishap, Trump simply closed his eyes and leaned away, before laughing off the excruciating moment.

“She just became a big story tonight,” he said of the mic operator.

“She just made television tonight,” the father-of-five continued. “Did you see that?”

As we say, however, since footage of the blunder since went viral, a handful of Trump fans have failed to see the humour, with many suggesting that the incident could be considered a major threat to Trump’s security.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), one questioned: “How on earth did a reporter get that boom mic so close to Trump’s face?

“This just doesn’t seem right. Security should tighten up,” they added. “Embarrassing for the press.”

Another hit out online: “This is a failure of the @SecretService to protect him.

“He handled it well, but that boom mic could’ve had poison (arsenic) on it. Wtf.”

The same point was also made by a third social media user, who wondered whether the incident should be classed as ‘assault on the president’.

They added that the boom mic could have been ‘laced with a poison’ or ‘infected with the next pandemic’, and implored with investigating authorities to have the mic ‘tested for all agents’.

The same Trump supporter also made the point that the recording equipment could have been tainted with the likes of ‘fentanyl, anthrax, herpes’.

“Who else thinks this b*tch who hit President Trump in the face with a boom mic should be BANNED from the White House press pool?” another viewer of the viral footage hit out.

A fifth called for the journalist and her crew to be ‘arrested and all equipment seized and tested for biological weapons or poisons’, adding that the blunder should be ‘treated as an assassination attempt’.

The incident comes less than a year since the politician endured two attempts on his life.

In July 2024, whilst delivering a speech during an open-air campaign rally near Butler, Pennsylvania, Trump was targeted by a 20-year-old man, who fired eight rounds from an AR-15-style rifle from the roof of a nearby building.

The perpetrator, Thomas Matthew Crooks – who also killed one audience member and critically injured two others – was subsequently shot and killed by a member of the US Secret Service, with Trump only suffering a wound in his upper right ear.

Not long after, another incident occurred in Florida whereby a mystery man hid in the bushes for nearly 12 hours as Trump played an unscheduled game of golf. The man, now known as Ryan Routh, was arrested from the scene carrying an AK-47-style weapon in his hands.
