Taylor Swift’s fans are unhappy that Travis Kelce’s ex-girlfriend Kayla Nicole took the time to offer a sweet message of comfort to Kylie Kelce
Kylie Kelce, Jason Kelce’s wife and Travis Kelce’s sister-in-law, made an emotional post on Instagram to honor her beloved pet, Winnie.
On March 15, 2024, Kylie informed her fans that her dog had died. “When I was in high school, I had a folder on my desktop labeled “God’s gift to earth”.
It was images of Irish Wolfhounds that I had collected from Google. I had fallen in love with the breed when I was a young and never let my fascination with them fade,” she wrote.
She told fans that her dog had been “everything I had hoped for in a wolfie and more” and that she was an important part of the family. Kylie even referred to her as “my firstborn child.” Kylie is heartbroken, and fans have shown their support in the comments, but Kayla Nicole’s message was met with mixed reactions.
Among the comments on the post was one from Travis Kelce, who wrote, “You have Winn an amazing life, Ky!!” His ex-girlfriend, Kayla Nicole, also took the time to send her condolences to Kylie. “Winnie girl. What a sweet life she lived,” she wrote, followed by a heart emoji. Surprisingly, her comment did not sit well with some of Taylor Swift’s fans (Swift and Kelce are currently dating), who criticized her decision to send a message.
Many people came to Nicole’s defense with messages telling other Instagram users they were being “immature” or hateful. “Just because Trav is with T. Swift doesn’t mean Kayla didn’t know Kylie; people are so immature,” one commenter wrote. Another weighed in on the backlash, writing, “You people really gotta stop hating on women YOU don’t know on the internet. It’s so stupid. Go on with your life, and DO not worry about people you will never KNOW.”
Other Instagram users defended Nicole’s decision to comment on the post. “She should be allowed to comment on whatever she wants,” one commenter wrote in response to the criticism of Nicole. “There’s no need to be embarrassed for her; you should be embarrassed for yourself first with your comment. It shows your lack of maturity and development in logic.” Another fan shared similar views on the topic, telling critics, “You literally don’t know her or her intentions. She’s commenting on someone’s loss. She’s allowed to send condolences. The fact that TS hasn’t … speaks volumes to the type of person she is,” they wrote.
