Travis Kelce shares the surprising way Taylor Swift supports him when he’s down
Travis Kelce is revealing the subtle way his girlfriend Taylor Swift helps him when he’s feeling down.
During the Feb. 26 episode of his New Heights podcast, Travis explained to his brother Jason Kelce that “the only way to find yourself in the light is to find yourself in the dark first.”
And after losing the Super Bowl earlier this month, when Travis is sad, he listens to music that speaks to his mood, saying “the Eagles broke my heart.”
“I listen to music that is very telling of my mood—yes,” he told Jason, adding that he loves “sad country songs.”

In addition to those sad country songs, in which Swift has a few, Travis said Swift’s discography is always in rotation.
“I just listen to Taylor’s songs,” the 35-year-old football star shared. “She has something for everything.”
“No matter what mood, you can find some Taylor music,” Jason agreed.
Travis was reportedly fighting a “big illness” before playing in the Super Bowl.
While a guest on the the NFL podcast, The Insiders, Kansas City Chief’s General Manager, Brett Veach, shared the note about Travis’s health, adding that he wasn’t “making excuses.”
During the February 12 episode of New Heights, Travis said he was “kicking myself for some of the tiny, tiny decisions I made on the field,” admitting that the Chiefs struggled to get any sort of momentum going.
The tight end was also hard on himself for not being the leader who could have been on the field Sunday night.
“I wasn’t the best leader that I could be in motivating my guys and keeping my guys calm, cool, and collected,” Travis said. “It’s a tough pill to swallow. It’s a hard reality.”
Travis then noted his beautiful life, despite the heartbreaking loss, saying all of the people he has around him who were there at the Super Bowl to support him.
And it seems like Swift is doing that in more ways than one.
