NFLChiefs Coach Sends Strong Message After Leaving Team.

The Kansas City Chiefs suffered a devastating loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX after entering the contest as slight favorites.

Going for NFL history as the only team to win three straight Super Bowls, the back-to-back champ’s dreams were crushed with a dominant first half from the Eagles, who entered halftime with a 24-0 lead. After taking a 40-6 lead in the second half, Philadelphia cruised to a 40-22 victory while the Chiefs went home empty-handed.

The loss wasn’t the only bad news for the Chiefs, who lost one of their defensive assistants after the crushing Super Bowl defeat.

Assistant defensive line coach Terry Bradden Jr is leaving to coach the defensive line at Nebraska. Bradden sent a message to the team after his decision to depart.

“The past eight years have been truly special. From that unforgettable breakfast as a Pro Bowl volunteer in 2017 with Emmitt Thomas to celebrating three Super Bowl victories, this organization has been an incredible part of my family’s life,” Bradden said in a statement on social media Thursday night.

“I’m deeply grateful to the Kansas City Chiefs and Coach Reid for their unwavering support. Most of all, I want to thank the players I’ve had the honor to coach – your dedication, hard work and passion have made this journey unforgettable. Thank you for the incredible memories. We’re excited for this next chapter in Lincoln, Nebraska!”

Bradden capped off his fourth as the assistant defensive line coach this past season after spending he first four years of his Chiefs career as a defensive assistant or defensive quality control coach.
