Two reasons Kansas City Chiefs banned from holding Super Bowl rally if they beat Eagles after deadly shooting last month

THE Kansas City Chiefs have been ordered to not hold a Super Bowl parade in the city if they beat the Philadelphia Eagles in the big game showdown.

The Kansas City Chiefs‘ move comes following the deadly shooting that took place during last year’s parade that killed one and wounded 22 people.

The Chiefs have been banned from holding a Super Bowl public rally if they were to win their third consecutive title
The Chiefs are eying the league’s first-ever three-peat when they face the Philadelphia Eagles in New Orleans on February 9.

On Thursday, it was reported by Fox 4 in Kansas City that the Chiefs will not hold a public rally in the city if they indeed win it all.

The decision was approved by more than 100 stakeholders, including city officials, law enforcement, hospitals, head of the sports commission Kathy Nelson, the outlet added.

The report also shared that this year’s festivities would hold a gathering at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium.

The event will only be for the players and their families, the Kansas City Mayor Quinton Lucas and Missouri Governor Mike Kehoe.

After the Arrowhead celebration, the players will move to Crown Center, where they will gather for a parade route which will be designed to help lessen crowd density.

The decision comes after last February’s tragedy when a dispute led to a shooting that killed one person, and left dozens of people injured as hundreds fled for safety.

The situation took place outside Kansas City’s historic Union Station.

Andy Reid and company had returned from Las Vegas after their Super Bowl 58 overtime win against the San Francisco 49ers.

Over one million Chiefs fans cheered on the team as they were on stage outside Union Station.

In the days after the shooting, the Chiefs, NFL, and the Hunt Family Foundation sent a $200,000 donation to the #KCStrong Fund to help the victims and the families of the incident.

Travis Kelce also gave a separate $100,000 donation to one of the victim’s families.

Chiefs running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire was handed a national heroism award thanks to keeping a Kansas City mother’s son safe during the shooting.

This year’s big game is a rematch of Super Bowl 57 when the Chiefs defeated the Eagles 38-35.

The Chiefs are coming off a 32-21 victory over the rival Buffalo Bills in the AFC Championship.

And the Eagles blew out the Washington Commanders 55-23 in the NFC Championship.

This year’s Super Bowl will be on February 9 at Caesars Superdome in The Big Easy.

The game will be broadcast on Fox as Kevin Burkhardt and NFL icon Tom Brady will be on the call.
