In a resurfaced interview from 2011, Taylor, who was 21-years-old at the time, noted that the Bad Boy Records founder would be a dream prom date. One Swiftie shared the throwback clip on TikTok amid the music mogul being accused of several sexual assault and rape allegations. Diddy was arrested and charged with sex trafficking and racketeering in mid-September, following his ex-girlfriend Cassandra “Cassie” Ventura’s lawsuit and a few others.

Taylor revealed that she would’ve been apt to go with Diddy to prom during the celebrity quiz portion of The Rachael Ray Show.

During the segment titled “Swift Decision,” Rachel asked the pop star: “Who would you have taken to the prom?’ and Swift responded: ‘It would be a group, and it would be a really fun group.” Playing the game honestly, Taylor pulled together pics of Katy Perry, Jennifer Lopez, Sheryl Crow, Justin Timberlake, and Diddy, showing that she’d want to party it up with the famous group.

“Diddy’s really always been very nice to me,” Taylor admitted. Rachael added: “He’s a gentleman, isn’t he? He’s a lovely gentleman.” Taylor further explained, “I really – he would be fun to be in the prom group.”

Taylor’s throwback interview garnered mixed reactions from viewers, who felt the footage “didn’t age well’ or “aged like milk.”
