‘Real reason’ Prince Harry is focused on his solo work without Meghan Markle
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been promoting their solo projects recently and sources have claimed there is a reason why.
Prince Harry was always going to pursue his solo ventures after he quit the Royal Family, sources have claimed.
The Duke of Sussex made a series of solo appearances last week in New York with several royal commentators speculating on whether he may be splitting his business interests with wife Meghan Markle.
Harry and Meghan have embarked on a number of joint projects for their Archewell Foundation as well as their global brand like their Spotify and Netflix deals but recently they’ve been more focused on their individual interests – Harry’s patronages and philanthropic endeavours and Meghan’s new lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard.
And now sources have come out and claimed that their long-term plan has always been to promote their own passion projects individually, while still having a joint focus on their charitable foundation.
They told Hello!: “Harry and Meghan have consistently pursued solo ventures in connection with their individual interests, but remain deeply committed to their joint efforts through Archewell,” one source connected closely with the pair told HELLO!
“Together they have exciting projects in the pipeline, all driving forward their shared mission for positive global impact.”
Last week saw the duke make a series of high-profile engagements in New York without the duchess during UN General Assembly High-Level Week and Climate Week.
Harry appeared at the Clinton Global Initiative in New York on Tuesday, where he delivered a passionate speech calling for action to tackle the “pervasive threat” the online world poses for children.
“Our kids can’t wait,” he warned, while suggesting the harmful effects of social media meant people were being used for a “human experiment” rather than enjoying a “human experience”.
Harry added: “When many in our world today seem to conflate opinion as fact and fact as opinion, we have to work hard to seek and reveal truth. For as long as we’re debating over lies, we will forever be divided. When so much of our future is uncertain, we need to meet global insecurity with compassion rather than hate.
“Inclusivity and equity are not optional; they are the bedrock upon which we must build our communication and community. And fear orchestrated at the highest levels needs to be seen for what it is—a tactic to mask indifference and a failure to seek real solutions.
“As a growing movement, The Parents’ Network is committed to this journey. We need platforms that mirror our highest values, designed with safety in mind.”
