Fans spot Kate’s unusual ‘Princess Shuffle’ habit that she uses at royal engagements
Royal Family fans can’t get enough of Princess Kate’s ‘Princess Shuffle’ as footage of her performing the unusual move has been viewed more than 340,000 times on TikTok.

Eagle-eyed Royal Family fans have spotted an unusual move Princess Kate performs when lining up for a photo, and they have dubbed it the “Princess Shuffle”.

Kate – who this week revealed she has finished a course of chemotherapy treatment following her cancer diagnosis – is seen performing the Princess Shuffle in a viral TikTok video that has racked up more than 340,000 views.

The caption on the video describes how Kate uses the move to “discreetly” get closer to people before a photograph is taken. In the footage, Kate is prompted to move closer to her right. The video then highlights how Kate shimmies her feet, allowing her to move sideways while still facing forward. It’s a particularly impressive feat considering the fact she is wearing heels in the clip!

Thousands of Royal Family fans have liked the video, and it seems they can’t get enough of the Princess Shuffle. One commented: “Loving the shuffle.” While another said: “We love her! […] You shuffle Princess from one cancer survivor to you.”

On Monday (September) Kate appeared in a heart-warming video alongside Prince William, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, as she issued the update about her cancer treatment.

The 42-year-old described the last nine months since discovering she had cancer as “scary” and “incredibly tough”, but added: “Out of darkness, can come light”. She also took a moment to pay tribute to “all those who are continuing their own cancer journey”, saying: “I remain with you, side by side, hand in hand.”

She went on: “The cancer journey is complex, scary and unpredictable for everyone, especially those closest to you. With humility, it also brings you face to face with your own vulnerabilities in a way you have never considered before, and with that, a new perspective on everything.”

Kate now plans to start a light programme of royal engagements. Palace sources said she is hoping to attend the Cenotaph with her family for Remembrance Sunday but would not be joining William in November during the future King’s Earthshot Prize awards in South Africa.
