Jennifer Lopez in telling move to bring ‘reputation back on track’ amid divorce drama
Newly single Jennifer Lopez avoided an awkward run-in with estranged husband Ben Affleck as she was back on the red carpet for his latest movie.
The songstress-turned-actress, 55, and Ben, 52, have split after two years of marriage, but it didn’t stop the brunette beauty helping to promote her former man’s current movie, Unstoppable. It’s a move that a celebrity PR expert insists is exactly what is needed to help her rebuild her faltering reputation.
PR guru Jane Owen exclusively told us: “I think J-Lo is doing exactly the right thing to bring her reputation back on track. Her failed marriage and her poor concert ticket sales have done some serious damage to the classic J-Lo powerhouse image that we have been in love with for few decades now.”
She added: “The J-Lo we fell in love with is a symbol of strength, glamour, and ambition. A sexy, powerful woman who is aspirational and beautiful and who we all want to be. J-Lo stepping out looking beyond fantastic is exactly the image that will take her back to the top of our vision boards where she belongs.”
The mum-of-two certainly dressed to impress for the occasion. She stunned in a disco ball inspired look and left little to the imagination as she wore a silver floor length gown which was completely open down the sides, just secured together with three bows. She superbly accessorised her look with a pair of sky high heels and an array of dazzling jewellery.
J-Lo and Ben confirmed they were no longer an item last month. The Hollywood duo had reconnected after a previous engagement almost two decades ago, but the outcome has been the same. According the documents, the pair said they were splitting on April 26 after “irreconcilable differences”.
Rumours had been rife, with fans spotting Ben had already moved out of their £51million family home in Beverly Hills. The pair are said to be leaving the home behind them after removal trucks were spotted outside. They had previously spent two years looking for their perfect home
