Simone Biles reveals how NFL husband Jonathan Owens is BETTER than her – after he previously claimed he was the catch in marriage to Olympic legend

Despite being one of the greatest American Olympians, Simone Biles admitted her husband Jonathan Owens may have a slight sporting edge over her.

The 27-year-old was supported by her NFL husband Owens, who was granted a break from Chicago Bears preseason training camp to make the journey to Paris, as she added three more gold and a silver medal to her Olympic tally.

The Bears safety went viral after he was spotted taking notes and keeping track of her scores at the Bercy Arena.
And while Biles admitted she’s already made the switch into ‘NFL wifey mode’, she claimed his gymnastics knowledge far surpasses her of the gridiron.

‘I got to go to a preseason game. So, that was really fun to just be able to support my husband in any way I can,’ she began telling Vanessa Richardson in an interview.
‘I feel like he knows more gymnastics than I know football,’ she added when asked about her husband’s note-taking.

‘He’s very educated. He’s kind of a nerd when it comes to stuff like that. So I just make sure I can find him on the field and then whatever happens happens. Because it’s such a sport that you never know what can happen so once I can find him, I find him.’

‘The support means the world,’ she went on. ‘We’ve been through so much together and not just as athletes but as a couple so to have him there, because he wasn’t able to go to Tokyo, meant the world.’

However some fans felt Owens may have taken the support a step too far after he was criticized for wearing his wife’s gold medal around his neck.
Owens shared a loved-up photo of him and while proudly wearing her Olympic gold medal, leaving fans fuming.
In a post celebrating his wife, he posed next to her with the gold around his neck and wrote: ‘Witnessing history every time you step on the mat – Congrats baby on becoming the most decorated American gymnast in Olympic history!!!! Just wow!!!! 8 of them!!!!! So thankful I was there to see it’.
But despite his heartwarming words, Owens has been blasted by fans online for his ‘odd’ behavior in wearing the medal.

One wrote: ‘You do realize that is not your medal… right?’

Another put: ‘But why are you wearing it? How odd.’

‘I knew he was gone wear her medal like he won it,’ said a third user.

A fourth commented: ‘That’s Simone’s gold medal you’re holding, not yours my guy.’

Meanwhile, Biles came under fire herself last week when she committed a fashion and football faux pas.

Biles attended the Bears’ preseason game against the Cincinnati Bengals at Soldier Field on Saturday August 17 but the Olympian.
She showed out in support of Owens, wearing a custom jacket with black-and-white printed images of him on it.

However, the Olympic legend made an NFL rookie error as the various snaps featured Owens in action for the Green Bay Packers – the Bears’ longstanding fierce rivals and his former team.

In addition to the photos of Owens suited up in Packers uniform, a large Green Bay logo on the shoulder pad had stood out in certain snaps and videos.

Her attempts to make a touching and supportive gesture towards Owens , landed Biles in the middle of one of the league’s fiercest rivalries and fans were far from impressed with one even claiming she should be ‘stripped of all her medals’ for her fashion fumble.
